Pax Dollar is unique as it's claimed to be the first digital asset issued by a financial institution and fully backed by the U.S. dollar. Pax Dollar sets itself apart as being the supposedly first fully regulated Trust company with blockchain expertise. In comparison to other similar stablecoins, where the existence of full U.S. dollar reserves may not be proven or issued by a financial institution, the Paxos team purports that USDP operates from a different base.
