AdEx, bearing the symbol ADX, is a cryptocurrency primarily focused on the advertising industry. AdEx, originally known as Ambire AdEx, is working on providing new-generation solutions for digital advertising, steering towards a greatly transparent platform that involves all parties. In addition to this, the company has been working on a decentralized finance (DeFi) based crypto wallet.
Ambire was the first startup to launch an open-source platform for decentralized advertising in 2018, after successfully crowdfunding their journey in 2017. The innovative step was enhanced by their role as the first advertising network that processed payments directly on the Ethereum blockchain.
AdEx operates by utilizing payment channels to ensure full transparency for all parties involved in their process. Furthermore, they use their own Layer-2 scaling solution, known as OUTPACE, to provide micropayments for each impression between advertisers and publishers. Their platform has proven efficient by processing more than 2.5 million transactions each day.
AdEx's platform was released to the market for beta testing and scaled up to include 16,000 registered advertisers and publishers, collectively garnishing over 80 million monthly impressions. By August 2020, Ambire initiated incentivized staking and liquidity providing programs for the ADX token to establish interaction with the DeFi ecosystem and engage its community in actively supporting the stability of the advertising exchange.
In 2021, Ambire announced the "Ambire Wallet," a comprehensive cryptocurrency wallet made to make using crypto and DeFi tools simpler for everyday life. It was created with both crypto novices and avid users in mind, providing easy-to-use UX, automatic gas management, hassle-free onboarding, support for hardware wallets, and much more. The Ambire wallet aspires to be the easiest and simplest way for people to enter the world of decentralized finance and cryptocurrencies. Currently, the wallet is still in private beta but is expected to be released to the general public soon.
